2.5 mg once a week is the recommended starting dose. After 4 weeks the dose should be increased to 5 mg once weekly. The recommended maintenance doses are 5 mg, 10 mg or 15 mg. The maximum dosage is 15 mg subcutaneously once weekly.

Typical Dosing Schedule for Semaglutide.

Month 1 – 2.5mg – 0.25ml per week
Month 2 – 5mg – 0.5ml per week

Only increase if effects of medication are not being felt.

Month 3 – 7.5mg – 0.75ml per week
Month 4 – 10mg – 1 ml per week

Month 5 – 12.5mg – 1.25ml per week

Month 6 – 15mg – 1.5ml per week
